A Simple Guide to Building Your Agentic Skill
Think of an Agentic Skill
as an intelligent tool that can perform a specific task for you. Here’s how you can create one and make sure it’s working perfectly!
Step 1: Create Your New Agentic Skill
Start by creating a new Agentic Skill
. You have two distinct paths to get started: you can choose a Capability Template for more flexibility or a Use Case Template for a pre-configured solution tailored to a specific purpose.
Step 2: Get Your Agentic Skill Up and Running
This is where you give your Agentic Skill its purpose.
Define the Context
While not mandatory, providing context helps the Agentic Skill better interpret the task at hand.
Add Labels
Labels are like keywords that tell your skill what information to extract. You can either create your own labels from scratch or import a set you’ve already made.
Save Your Progress
Once you've set up your labels, be sure to save a new version. This creates a checkpoint you can always go back to if you need to.
Step 3: Adjust the Settings
Take a moment to review your Agentic Skill’s settings and enable any additional features you need.
Step 4: Check How Your Agentic Skill Is Working
You can quickly see how your Agentic Skill
behaves on a real document. Just upload a document and check its performance in the Try Skill panel.
Step 5: Fine-tune Your Agentic Skill
This part is all about making sure your Agentic Skill is performing at its best.
Establish a Ground Truth
To measure your skill's performance, you must first establish a baseline. You can do this by setting up your Ground Truth, as the documents you review there will become the verified dataset the system uses for accurate evaluation.
Measure its Performance
Once your Ground Truth
is configured, you can evaluate your Agentic Skill's performance. The system will compare your skill's output against your Ground Truth
to give you a clear score on how well it's performing its task. This is the ultimate test to see if your hard work paid off!
